I hate colors
And they hate me. So it's just not my thing.
This is what I told myself almost 10 years ago.
I've always had trouble mixing and matching colors.
Artists told me: “Just mix this green one and that’s it! See?” I did not see.
Everyone repeated that it would come with practice. But no matter how hard I tried, it didn’t come. I was just torturing myself and my paints.
And I dropped everything and switched to monochrome artworks.
The question of why I couldn’t understand and love colors never left me. The answer: “it’s just not yours” didn’t suit me. I promised myself that if I found a solution, I would share it with other artists. No one should cry over a palette feeling helpless.
Over time, I realized what was wrong with me! It turned out that colors are a complex system, but if you move gradually, everything will work out. This is how I was able to fall in love with colors and working with them.
And so these two books were born.
